We are pleased to announce that USA Storage Centers has acquired Richlands Mini Storage located at 7369 Richlands Hwy in Richlands NC as of May 20, 2026. We are excited to have you join our USA team and our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible. At USA Storage Centers, we are committed to provide outstanding customer service to you in every transaction. Please note our new store phone number 472-238-1541. Our office hours are Mon - Fri 9am to 5:30pm and Sat 9am to 4:00pm. Closed on Sundays.

We are in the process of transferring all Richlands Mini Storage systems over to USA Storage Center's platforms. We think you will find many upgrades to the systems from what you have come to expect. You will need to create a new online or mobile account with our company. The links have been embedded below. You may use these to update your information, make payments, set up autopay and after the gate system has been upgraded, use the app to enter the property without code entry or view your gate code (mobile app).

For security concerns, your credit card information DID NOT transfer over. If you are on an automatic payment program, we will need to update your credit card information in our system. You may do so by creating an online account. Please note like many others in the industry, we do not accept checks or cash.

Important Information

Direct payments to USA Storage Centers: When paying by credit card, please note the name change on your credit card statement.

New Storage Lease: Although the terms from your lease agreement transfers over from Richlands Mini Storage to USA Storage Centers, you will be required to sign a new storage lease. We will be sending a link to have this remotely completed for your convenience. Your current unit # will remain unchanged.

The new lease changes (see below under lease changes) will become effective July 1st, 2026. Please note that your continued occupancy of the rented storage unit after the effective date will bind you to the terms and conditions of this month-to month agreement whether you sign the new lease with USA Storage Centers or not.

Tenant Insurance Requirements. All storage units must be insured through our protection plan or you must provide proof of other qualifying insurance. See below under Protection Plan Information.

Lease Changes Effective 7/1/2026

Current lease stipulations will be transferred from previous lease with the exception:

Rental Payments

All rent will be due on the first of the month starting July 1st. This may cause your payment in June to be pro-rated.

Late Fees

Late fee of $15 or 15% of rent (whichever is greater) on day 6 of unpaid rent.

Auction Fees

Action fee of $100 will be charged after 30 days past due.

Cut Lock Fee

There is a fee of $50 to have your lock cut.

NSF Fee

There is a charge of $35 if we receive payment with non-sufficient funds.

Invoices

All invoices will be mailed. Please make sure we have your correct email address.

Cash Payments

We do not accept cash payments.

Credit Card Fee

A credit card fee of $4.99 will be charged for credit card payments over the phone (there will be no fee for all other credit card transitions: autopay, website/mobile app payments).

Gate Access

We will be installing a new access gate system in the upcoming months. We will notify all customers when it is installed. Upon installation, every customer will have their own individual gate code and will be able to open the gate from our mobile app. The access hours will be 6 am to 7 pm, 7 days a week. Please review your new lease with us for detailed information.

Protection Plan Information

On July 1st, we will enroll all customers who have not provided proof of insurance in our lowest plan. $12 for $2500 coverage. Our lease stipulates all storage units must be insured either by your homeowner's or renter's insurance or by our protection plan (not an insurance).

Avoid paying a late fee or credit card fee again by enrolling in our automatic payment program.

Never forget your gate code again by downloading our app. You may make payments and change account information, as well, with the mobile app.
