We at USA Storage Centers want to acknowledge the challenges our customers have had due to the inconsistent function of the electronic storage unit door locks. When we installed this system, we felt it was an expensive upgrade to a normal lock set up, but due to the constant problems, we have decided to remove the electronic locking mechanism (Storage Smart Entry or Noke) from your storage unit. We appreciate your patience for any issues or inconvenience these may have caused in the past. We truly had the best intentions in mind.
Moving forward, we will replace the mechanism with a high-security cylinder lock that uses a key to unlock. We will leave a free brand-new lock in your unit. To secure your unit as we are changing out the locking mechanism, we will place a combination lock on your unit. The combination will be texted to the primary phone number we have on file or you may stop by the office during business hours with proper identification for the code. Please remove the combo lock and replace it with the new cylinder lock that was placed in your unit. Return the combo lock to the designated red dropbox near the office.
You may receive a text from the existing Storage Smart Entry system while we are replacing the mechanism as we will be unlocking each unit.
We are planning to have the project completed by the end of next week, December 19th, 2025. Upon completion, you may uninstall the Storage Smart Entry app from your device, as it will no longer function to open the facility doors or your storage unit door. Instead, now download the USA Storage Centers app from the Apple or Google Play store. This will allow full access to the facility.
